RULES AND FORMAT

Team Eligibility
Maximum of 20 teams, each team must have 4 members and are allowed two alternates. Team members can be of any age pro or amateur, although WCT surfers are not eligible due to ASP restrictions unless surfer has permission from ASP. Alternates may replace a team member prior to the event, once a team member has surfed in a heat, alternates cannot replace.

Format
The format will feature a maximum of 80 competitors (20 teams) competing individual in an open-draw format. Heats will be 4-man, 20 to 25 minutes in duration depending on conditions. Team results will be determined by the placement of individual competitors. Surfers will receive points in each heat (4 pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd, 2 pts for 3rd and 1 pt for 4th place) Note: No points awarded in the repercharge heat. The team with the highest point total will be the Katin Team Challenge Champion and the individual winner will be the Katin Pro-Am.

Judging Criteria
Current ASP judging criteria and interference rules will be used with computer scoring.
